We have an exciting Curriculum at Manor Park Primary.

In all year groups children are encouraged to question and consider points of views with a focused lesson on philosophy for learning. Independence is promoted and a well embedded creative linked curriculum is in place which is based on the Cornerstones Curriculum and is supported by themes allowing many cross curricular links to be made within different areas of the curriculum as well as being enriched through trips, outside learning and after school clubs.

Throughout the year, teachers choose the Imaginative Learning Projects they are going to teach from the ones available for their year group. The children’s interests are taken into account when making the decision on which project to teach with a particular class. The projects are usually taught across a half term but this can be longer or shorter depending on the project.

The learning for the half term is shared with parents through a topic web sent home which states the project and the learning being covered in each subject area.

Some subjects are taught discreetly and outside of the projects. These are usually PE, PSHCE, RE and MFL (for KS2 only). However links are made where appropriate. The coverage of all subjects is checked by teachers and also by the subject leaders.
